Orchard Harvest & Yield Tracking Spreadsheet
Count bins in the row, and let the workbook turn them into kilos, yield per hectare, yield per tree, and a read on how each block is tracking against your estimate.
No email, no account, no trial. Opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
What's Included in this Template
One row per pick: date, block, bins, grade and crew. The cultivar fills in from Blocks, and bins convert to kilos automatically — or type a scale weight and it takes precedence.
The payoff sheet, calculated not typed. Bins and kilos per block, converted to kg per hectare and kg per tree, with anything under 80% of its estimate flagged amber. A cultivar-share rollup sits underneath.
Per-picker daily units with a rate per unit, so piece-rate earnings are worked out for you.
Your blocks with area, tree count and expected yield — the denominators that turn raw kilos into per-hectare and per-tree numbers.
The net weight of each bin, crate or bucket you use, plus your picker list. Set once; every conversion in the file reads from here.
Key Benefits of this Template
- Converts bin counts to net kilograms automatically, using your own bin weights.
- Handles both workflows in one column — count bins, or enter a scale weight and it wins.
- Calculates yield per hectare and per tree, and flags blocks running under 80% of estimate.
- Warns you when a block or bin type is typed that isn't in your register, so a row can't look complete while counting for nothing.
- Opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and Apple Numbers.
Inherent Spreadsheet Limitations
- Picker tallies are typed in the evening from the day's tickets — nothing connects to a scale, a packhouse system or a bluetooth device.
- The workbook covers one season. Year-on-year comparison means saving a copy per season and comparing by hand.
- The cultivar rollup lists one row per block, so two blocks of the same cultivar appear twice.
- No audit trail — anyone with the file can change a past row and nothing records it.
